About the owner: Amy Simmons has an undergraduate degree in Biology, Psychology and Pre-med from Tufts University, and an MBA from the option II program at the University of Texas. Steve has multiple degrees from the University of Texas including Real Estate and History. Steve and Amy are both avid sports fans and participants. They have a handful with two girls and a little boy!
Products and Services: Amy's Ice creams is an Austin founded business which prepares and serves over 200 unique, super-premium ice cream flavors. You can see us making all these delicious flavors in the back of our shop at 3500 Guadalupe. We are known for using the finest and freshest ingredients available including Callebaut chocolate from Belgium, Texas French Bread's Hyde Park Fudge cake, fresh lemons and bananas, and zany ingredients like real Guiness beer! Maybe even more popular than our delicious ice creams, are our delightful employees who will crush nuts,fruits,fudge, or candies into your ice cream flavor choice with an entertaining flair!

Amy's Ice Creams is almost 20 years old! Amy Simmons and her original partner wrote a business plan and funded the original shop on Guadalupe. Since then, with the help of a long list of creative employees, Amy's has grown to 13 shops, eight in Austin, one in San Antonio, and one in Houston. Amy's has received tremendous recognition for a small company, having the honor of being included in several textbooks as well as profiles in The Wall Street Journal, Texas Monthly, Newsweek, Forbes, The Food Network, Inc.magazine, People Magazine, Southern Living network and magazine, and more!
